CHALLENGE 2 — Maintenance Simulation Monitoring Baseline Patient-flow analytics varied during the planned maintenance simulation, and the clinical operations lead requests tuning before the readiness review closes. The monitoring baseline has not been fully captured, and some thresholds still reflect the earlier steady-state reporting profile. What should the database owner do first?

• A. ove the tuning decision to SAP HANA Cloud because future analytics may migrate there.
• B. isable maintenance simulation alerts so the review focuses only on report completion.
• C. apture the current monitoring baseline and validate threshold relevance before tuning.
• D. pply tuning immediately because patient-flow analytics affects operational readiness.

A digital publishing company operates SAP HANA for subscriber activity reporting. Users report that dashboards are available, but refresh times vary sharply during the morning reporting window. SAP HANA cockpit shows no service outage, while monitoring history shows a recurring peak in expensive statement activity from a reporting workload. The database team is asked to increase system capacity immediately because the reports are business-critical.
The constraint is that the administrator must identify the execution pattern before recommending a capacity or scheduling change. The business requires stable refresh times, but the system must remain available during investigation.
Which action best fits the observed performance evidence?

• A. ncrease capacity immediately because dashboard variability always indicates insufficient database resources.
• B. isable the reporting workload until the next maintenance window so all expensive statements are removed from the system.
• C. estart SAP HANA during the reporting window so existing expensive statements are cleared before users refresh dashboards.
• D. eview the expensive statement pattern and workload timing, then apply a targeted scheduling or workload adjustment based on validated evidence.

A transportation enterprise is preparing an administration handover for SAP HANA while maintaining both an on-premises database and an SAP HANA Cloud target used for modernization planning. SAP HANA Cloud Central shows the cloud database as available, but database explorer checks submitted by the operations team still return results from the on-premises system. The handover document lists both environments, but the connection entry used for validation points to the older endpoint.
The constraint is that the administrator must prove the intended environment is being validated before accepting the handover. The team cannot rely on a successful query alone because both systems currently contain similar test data.
What should the administrator do first?

• A. ccept the handover because successful database explorer results prove that the SAP HANA database is available.
• B. estart the SAP HANA Cloud database so the validation query can be repeated against a newly started target.
• C. efresh the copied test data so result differences can identify which database responded to each query.
• D. orrect and verify the connection binding to the intended SAP HANA environment before using query results as validation evidence.

CHALLENGE 2 — Simulation Monitoring Baseline Control The reporting team asks to apply memory-related tuning before the next baggage-volume simulation because response times varied during the first SIT cycle. The current monitoring baseline has not been fully captured. What should the database owner do first?

• A. isable simulation monitoring so the next run focuses only on report completion.
• B. apture current monitoring behavior and validate threshold relevance before approving tuning.
• C. ove tuning decisions to the SAP HANA Cloud system because future analytics will run there.
• D. pply tuning immediately because faster simulation response time supports rollout confidence.

CHALLENGE 3 — Cloud Transition Evidence Boundary The steering update needs to cover both the current regional template release and future SAP HANA Cloud reporting migration. The on-premises remediation systems have backup and monitoring evidence, while the cloud database has provisioning and sample data only. Which action best supports accurate decision-making?

• A. elay the regional release until SAP HANA Cloud carries the same reporting workload.
• B. ombine the evidence into one readiness status so the steering update stays simple.
• C. eparate regional template readiness from SAP HANA Cloud transition readiness in the update.
• D. reat cloud provisioning as proof that the migration stream is ready for reporting transition.
